Miniature art of Tabriz
A woven miniature: village, bridge and river drawn picture-fine, in the manner of Hereke — yet without the signature every true Hereke carries. The trade attributes such pieces to Tabriz and its neighbouring looms: Persia answering the Ottoman court workshop at its own game, knot for knot.
The design is very much like Herekeh, but it is missing a signature that is a sign of a Herekeh work. The origins of this work is associated with Tabriz and nearby regions.
