Kashan Afshan
An afshan — "scattered" — design from Kashan, the field strewn with silk flowers in the late nineteenth-century manner. Woven at 650 knots to the square inch, its reds deepened by a century of patina.
Made in Kashan, silk flower, from late 19th centure!
All-over afshan ("scattered") design — floral sprays and vases strewn across a madder field with no central medallion; navy palmette border.
